Suffolk wool is an amazing wool. Its felt resistant as well as extreamly durable. This makes it amazing for socks or any other project that gets heavy use. On the farm I wear socks in my rubber boots, and my suffolk wool socks are the only ones that hold up to the wear and tear.
This suffolk wool comes from my neighbor Debbie Brower who is a handspinner. She has been breeding her flock to have extra special Suffolk wool. This wool has stunning crimp and is a medium grade wool. It is a joy to spin. There isn’t a lot of lanolin (and it resists felting) so it is easy to wash. There maybe a little bit of vm but it will be minimal. Spinning this suffolk is a lot of fun!
